want to know what's weird?
by ninja inwe all know there is no mention of cats in the bible...not one....but another thing that's weird is that there is no reference to any people in the old testament taking their kids down to the beach to make sandcastles and stuff...why?

Our Watchtower Study On obedience & submission
by dark angle inyesterday we have a study of the watchtower about obedience and submission.
this study arose a lot of questions and heightened emotions in me and the interested retired judge sitting besides me.
we came accross the 9th pharagraph, page 28 of the april 1, 2007, where it says that: "it is easy to obey when everything is clear and we agree, but we will show that we are trully submissive if we yeild even when we do not personally understand the direction provided.

Classy sea like Crystal represents, cleansing of the royal priesthood before entering into Jehovah's presence?
They claim that the royal priesthood(24 elders) must have been cleansed by his Word.
24 elders represented non other than anointed ones of the Christain congregation, resurrected and occupying the heavenly position Jehovah promised them. How do we know that?
24 elders portrays Jesus anointed footstep follower in their heavenly position, For Jesus made a covenant with them to sit on the thrones in his Kingdom. Luke 22:28-30.
Only Jesus and these 24 elders not even the angels are described as ruling in heaven in Jehovah's presence.
Let make a jump and make the 24 elders a division "When completed, there will be 24 divisions, each with 6,000 conquerors, for Revelation 14:1-4 TELLS US THAT 144,000 (24X6,000) are bought from mankind.
Since the number 12 signifies a divinely balanced organization, 24 doubles-or strengthens-such an arrangement.
LOL,LOL,LOL,LOL
Where is this in the bible.
I think Jesus made a covenant with his apostles at Luke 22:28-30. Perhaps they are the ones who are allowed to judge the 12 tribes and nothing more.
Who knows perhaps everyone else is going to be a part of the chosen raise, royal priest hood, holy nationa people for special possession.
I am looking up 1 Pet 2:9 it looks like the left out the rest of this scripture.
" But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may delcare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have recieved mercy."
SOUNDS LIKE EVERYONE WHO IS CALLED OUT OF DARKNESS! Are we people belonging to God?
I think the 24 elders are a different group than royal priesthood,144,000, or the ones sitting on the thrones to juged the 12 tribes.
I think that we all are cleansed by the word of God! those who believe in Jesus and Jehovah.

On Drawn Blood
by Sunspot inthere is a discussion on another board that has to do with blood that has been drawn, and the poster said this:.
***according to the october 15, 2000 watchtower jw's are allowed to have any amount of blood completely removed from their body, stored, taken to a lab, treated in some manner, and then later transfused back into their veins as long as the procedure is done within a single hospital stay.
several of these approved procedures are described in the november 2006 kingdom ministry.. it is no longer true to say that jw's abstain from transfusions of whole blood, white cells, red cells, plasma or platelets because they can accept any and all of these in autologous form so long as the procedure of "removal / reuse" is done within a single hospital stay.

Years ago, I went to the BBC interenet site and I found that the JW believed in donating blood cleansing types of machine to two hospitals. One in England and one in Denmark. Apparently, it made headlines!
It really was a shocker!
Monday, 30 July, 2001, 12:07 GMT 13:07 UK Church donates blood machine
Cats re-circulates a patient's own blood Jehovah's Witnesses are donating a blood-cell salvage machine to a hospital that takes away the need for transfusion in surgery.Members of the religion traditionally refuse blood transfusions because they conflict with their beliefs.
The Fresenius Continuous Autologus Transfusion System (Cats), which is being donated to St Mary's Hospital in Newport on the Isle of Wight, re-circulates a patient's own blood during operations.
John Carruthers, a spokesman for the Jehovah's Witnesses, said he hoped the machine, which is being delivered on Monday, would also be an advantage to other people.
He said: "Because of teachings in the Bible, Jehovah's Witnesses do not touch blood that is not their own.
In simple terms, patients are receiving their own fresh blood without the risk of infectionDr Rajeev Joshi, consultant haematologist "This machine will mean that when they require surgery there is no need for blood transfusions to be used."
The fundraising for the £19,000 Fresenius Kabi machine was set up on the island because of the high proportion of Jehovah's Witnesses who live there.
Cost savings
Mr Carruthers added: "But we hope it will also be useful for the wider community, since as more people become aware of the potential health risks of blood transfusions they will be able to use it as well."
Dr Michael Hof, senior consultant at St Mary's, welcomed the fact the reduction in health risks of transfusions could potentially save the NHS millions of pounds.
He said: "Unfortunately, the rest of the world is ahead of the United Kingdom as far as the use of cell salvage is concerned.
"At present the public on the island and in the UK generally do not demand cell-salvage because they are not aware of its benefits."How the Cats machine works The machine collects blood from the site of surgery Blood is mixed with heparin to stop it clotting Blood is passed into a reservoir and coarse particles are filtered out Blood is washed using saline, to remove heparin Blood is collected in a reinfusion bag and delivered back to the patient Dr Hof's colleague, consultant haematologist Dr Rajeev Joshi, said he had been pushing for the treatment to be available in the UK for "a long time".
He said: "In simple terms, patients are receiving their own fresh blood without the risk of infection."
Cats also speeds up the transfusion process, as there is no need to carry out compatibility tests on the patient.
The machine also improves the quality of the blood because it does not need storing, which reduces its capacity for storing oxygen.
The Isle of Wight is home to 600 Jehovah's Witnesses in seven congregations.
Proportionally that is one for every 250 people, compared to one for every 450 people across the rest of the UK.

Commenting at Meetings: A Way Of Expressing Your Faith???
by R.F. inas we are told by the wt, commenting at the meetings is supposed to be a way of expressing your faith in the congregation.
i hardly felt this today during the wt study today or every meeting for that matter.
it seems more like this is the time when everyone wants to correct others or direct their comments in a way that it's condemnatory to others.

What I have noticed, most people stick with the topic and ignore answers regarding doctrines. I am talking about modern day applications, I would wait for some one to raise their hands and answer to something I knew was wrong for example Jesus cleansing the temple? Who and when they would know the answer, but why is a mystery to most of the JW. It is all too strange for me!
It would be nice if they answered with factual information about the religions history. It really is odd!
I never answered because I was reinstated and reinstated people can not answer. It is part of the punishment and on going shunning. I really do not care.

Glaring contradiction between 1995 new light and Society's authority as FDS
by yaddayadda inin the 15 october 1995 watchtower the society brought out 'new light' that although christ sat down as king in 1914, but he did not sit down on his 'glorious throne' mentioned at matt 25: 31 in that year.
i cant understand why the society bothered to make this change in 1995?
this change was in some ways more damaging to them than the generation change, because the society essentially sawed off the branch they were sitting on by announcing this 1995 new light.

2 Corithians 2: 5-8
5 Now if anyone has caused sadness, he has saddened, not me, but all of YOU to an extent—not to be too harsh in what I say. 6 This rebuke given by the majority is sufficient for such a man, 7 so that, on the contrary now, YOU should kindly forgive and comfort [him], that somehow such a man may not be swallowed up by his being overly sad. 8 Therefore I exhort YOU to confirm YOUR love for him.
NOTICE 6 AND 7
Noticed the rebuke was given to the majority! YOU should kindly forgive and comfort. Anyhow, the JWs do not practice what Paul stated and recieved from Jesus. Otherwise, why would there be more restrictions after reinstatement?
False teachings!

People who go door to door are prophets who have the right to mark people on their foreheads(symbolic) to righteousness, if they take the WT. However, If they do not take the WT then one goes off to Judgement, Jesus Christ. Now you know what it means to reject or take the WT.
The man with the secretary's ink horn, the Bible Students think it was one man Charles T. Russell and the JW think it is well hmmm, door to door prophets.
I know you are probably wanting a more personal marking instead of the X.
As far as Paul's writing to the congregations, the Jehovah's Witness go way beyond Paul's meanings!
If the congregation does not forgive a person then how could Paul forgive the congregation so Jesus could forgive Paul. Where is a continuing of a marking(restrictions) in the bible? There is not one. So once someone has been forgiven ( JW terms reinstated) why is there still restrictions for the reinstated ones? There is one! not able to answer at meetings which marks the person! and allows others to know that you do not have a good standing.
The letter that Paul wrote was to teach the congregation the meaning of forgiveness.
There is no bibical individual marking in the bible! as far as someone marking another person. Yet if the Jehovah's Witnesses are marking people on an individual case then they are not following Paul or Jesus which is to express love for one another.
As far as the man with the secretary's inkhorn, will he went back to heaven. His job was done! There is no modern day application for him. It just bull!
Some people did walk away from the early congregation and they started teaching pagan teachings again. These individual taught against the congregation. Can you imagine tryign to have a new thought and someone teaching about Greek gods. How does this apply to modern day JW it does not! It was a time in history for growth of early christians congregations. I do not know one person who was a JW who started talking about pagan Greek gods.
Just a thought or two!
